As part of this mission, we have successfully collaborated with several esteemed organizations under their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. Our partners include: SBI Foundation, GAIL (India) Limited, Coal India Limited, Oil India Limited, Western Coalfields Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, and South Eastern Coalfields Limited.

These partnerships have enabled us to conduct comprehensive TB awareness, screening, testing, and care programs across high-burden communities, directly contributing to the Government of India’s vision for a TB Mukt Bharat (TB-Free India).
TB awareness and counseling programs are designed to equip communities with essential information about tuberculosis, focusing on its symptoms and preventive measures. Individuals are educated to recognize early warning signs, such as a persistent cough, fever, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. They are urged to seek medical attention promptly if these symptoms arise. Counseling sessions offer practical guidance on preventive measures, including regular hand washing, proper coughing etiquette (covering the mouth and nose), and ensuring adequate ventilation in living spaces. Addressing common misconceptions and reducing stigma emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and treatment, fostering a proactive approach to health and well-being.

Tuberculosis (TB) remains one of the most serious public health challenges in India. Early detection through screening and testing is critical to controlling the spread of the disease and improving patient outcomes
✔️
TB screening is the initial step used to identify individuals who may have TB but do not yet show clear symptoms. It helps in detecting potential TB cases early, especially in high-risk or vulnerable populations
✔️
Screening typically involves:
Symptom-based assessment: Individuals are asked about symptoms such as chronic cough, fever, night sweats, weight loss, or fatigue.
History taking: Screening includes checking for exposure history, previous TB infection, or risk factors like malnutrition, HIV, or close contact with TB patients.

The initiative utilized the Mantoux test to detect the presence of TB bacteria, complemented by general examinations to identify individuals exhibiting symptoms of active tuberculosis. Crucially, the program extended beyond mere testing, incorporating a vital educational component. Residents received informative materials emphasizing the significance of regular testing and the advantages of early diagnosis in combating TB. This multifaceted approach aimed to provide local medical practitioners with a clearer understanding of the prevailing TB epidemic within these communities, empowering them to implement targeted preventive measures and improve public health outcomes.

Swarlipi Charitable Trust ensures that TB patients receive the essential medicines required for their full recovery. Providing proper medication is a core part of our TB care program. These medicines are crucial in killing the TB bacteria and preventing the spread of the disease. Without timely and correct treatment, TB can become drug-resistant and life-threatening.
Our team closely monitors each patient to ensure adherence to the treatment schedule. The full course of TB medication usually lasts 6 months, and skipping doses can lead to relapse.
By supplying these medicines under our CSR initiative, we help patients stay on track. This support is especially vital for low-income patients who cannot afford regular treatment. Medicines, along with nutrition and follow-up care, form a complete healing package.
Proper medical treatment is the key to a TB-free and healthy future.

Nutrition plays a crucial role in the recovery of tuberculosis (TB) patients. TB often leads to weight loss, muscle weakness, and loss of appetite, making it harder for the body to fight the infection. To address this, distributing Nutrition Basket Kits is an essential part of patient care. These kits contain protein-rich foods, pulses, cereals, and vitamin-packed items.
The nutrients help rebuild stamina, support the immune system, and improve the body’s response to TB medication. Malnutrition and TB form a vicious cycle—poor nutrition increases vulnerability to TB, and TB worsens nutritional status.
By ensuring consistent nutritional support, patients can regain strength more quickly and maintain better adherence to treatment. It also reduces treatment failure and relapse rates. For underprivileged patients, these kits are often a lifeline. Thus, nutrition support is not just helpful—it is vital in the fight against TB.

At Swarlipi Charitable Trust, we are committed to supporting the holistic recovery of TB patients. As part of our CSR initiative, we distribute Nutrition Basket Kits to individuals who test positive during our TB screening drives.
Our dedicated team reaches out directly to these patients to ensure timely delivery of the kits. Each basket is packed with protein-rich foods, vitamins, and essential nutrients that help patients regain strength and boost their immunity during treatment.
This nutritional support plays a critical role in improving treatment adherence, recovery rates, and overall well-being, especially among underprivileged communities.
